About this course
The MQF Level 7 Award in Events Management and Practice provides critical education in the planning and management of artistic, cultural, and corporate events to aspiring and practicing event managers.
The course will equip learners with the tools and techniques needed to successfully plan and execute a conference, seminar, exhibition,
expo, festival or cultural event. This award explores the event management process from planning to running an event and conducting post-event evaluations.
The course is delivered through work-based learning, which means learners get to explore events management from both a theoretical and practical perspective.

Applicants should normally hold a Bachelor’s Degree, however, we also assess other factors including your career progression, and leadership and entrepreneurship qualities. A mixed-method assessment approach will be utilised for this programme.

Syllabus
Unit 1
Events Planning
This unit introduces learners to the concept of event planning, including the importance of event planning, what tasks are involved, and the role of the event planner, as well as the benefits of having successful events, social events, and what the corporate market is.
Unit 2
The Planning Process
This unit delves into creating a vision for the event and choose a theme. This unit also demonstrate to learners how to do situational analysis and set objectives, determine event feasibility and create an event management strategy.
Unit 3
Events Budgeting
This unit explores income and cost analysis, determining an appropriate level of budgeting, budget monitoring, and feasibility studies.
Unit 4
Resource and Risk Management
This unit outlines the significance of recognising needs, locating the proper people, selecting the best personnel for the event, and training the employees to excel in their roles. This unit also delves into risk management, such as event risk management, hazard analysis, and contingency planning.
