Entry Requirements
Applicants must have an MQF Level 4 qualification inhospitality or a relevant discipline. MATSEC subjects such as Maltese, English, Mathematics, and any other two subjects at Grade 5 or higher will be accepted. Candidates should also be in possession of a suitable English qualification such as IELTs 6.0 or CEFR, or equivalent.
Assessment Mode
A work-based learning project will be utilised to assess students for this programme.
Delivery Mode
The Undergraduate Certificate in Hospitality is delivered through a combination of seminars and work-based learning.

This course is intended for those who are aged 21+ and aspire to work in the hospitality industry.

This programme will be delivered in English.

Syllabus
Module 1 - 10 ECTS
Introduction to Hospitality
This module introduces learners to the basic principles, fundamentals and departments found within the hospitality industry. This module will lay the pediment for learners to acquire the basic knowledge of hospitality and be able to further understand the specific modules related to the different specialisations.
Module 2 - 10 ECTS
Food and Beverage Operations
This module allows learners to gain the relevant knowledge and skills required within the food and beverage service industry. This module will help learners understand the importance of personal appearance and first impressions as well as allows them to explore the basic service styles and the use and upkeep of equipment and tools.
Module 3 - 10 ECTS
Hospitality Operations
This module allows learners to delve deeper into hotel operations and become familiar with the basic functions of this department including front-office, executives, housekeeping, maintenance, finance, marketing & sales, and kitchen staff. By the end of the module, learners will have acquired knowledge of the vast responsibilities and roles of hotel operations.
