MSc students make history in Ireland
CMBS students make history being the first ever students to graduate with an MSc in Leadership and Organisational Behaviour from Dublin City University.
Last Wednesday, Dublin City University (DCU) hosted its first ever Master’s in Leadership and Organisational Behaviour graduation ceremony – a Master’s degree provided by CMBS in Malta and accredited by DCU. The ceremony took place at The Helix on DCU Campus in Ireland and celebrated the accomplishment of over 350 DCU Business School students, 22 of which were Master of Science in Leadership and Organisational Behaviour graduates from CMBS in Malta.
The graduation ceremony commenced with a master of ceremonies followed by the conferring of degrees and awards by DCU Business School Dean, Professor Anne Sinnott and DCU President, Professor Brian MacCraith. The ceremony covered a total of 19 DCU Business School programmes, one of which was the MSc in Leadership and Organisational Behaviour.
Present on stage for the conferring of the graduation certificates, was also MSc in Leadership and Organisational Behaviour Chairperson, Dr John McMackin. The ceremony concluded with a speech from the president of the university who expressed his pride in the students and wished them the best of luck for the future.
Earlier that day, in a pre-graduation reception, two awards were also presented to the programme’s highest achieving student and the student with the best dissertation. The awards were awarded to Joseph Spiteri and Ann Marie Teeling, respectively, and were presented by Maltese Ambassador for Ireland Hon Leonard Sacco.
The MSc in Leadership and Organisational Behaviour programme is offered in Malta by CMBS in collaboration with DCU. The programme was launched in 2016 and is the first of its kind both at DCU and in Malta, making the 22 Maltese graduates the first ever students to graduate with this Master’s Degree.
