Claudio Farrugia gained extensive experience in the corporate, public, and non-profit sectors during his career. He presently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Malta Cooperative Federation, where his primary focus is on advocating cooperative ideals and facilitating sustainable economic growth. Claudio had formerly held the position of CEO at The Archbishop’s Seminary, where he implemented substantial enhancements in the areas of finance, human resources, and operations. In addition, he has held important positions at Arkadia Marketing Limited, Farsons Group, and Jobs Plus , where he made significant contributions to strategic planning and operational efficiency and participated in fora lead by the EU commission on employment strategy.
Claudio possesses a Master’s degree in Catholic Social Teaching from St. Mary’s University and an MBA from Henley Management College. He is dedicated to continuous learning and has successfully finished many courses in management, and strategy.
He has a strong enthusiasm for volunteering and advocating for the social doctrine of the church. He is an active member of organisations such as the Voluntary Solidarity Fund and in the past he was a member of the board of Richmond Foundation. During his leisure time, he derives pleasure from engaging in activities such as cycling, trekking, and travel with a tad of adventure.
