Our pre-tertiary full-time degree pathway is a work-based learning programme that starts at the sixth-form level and leads directly to a BSc degree. This innovative programme offers a comprehensive, immersive experience that allows students to integrate classroom learning with real-world work experiences in fields such as business management, computer science and finance. Students will engage in hands-on training, mentorship and professional development activities aimed at preparing them for a successful career in their chosen field.
Why work-based learning?
Pre-tertiary work-based learning provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable skills, explore career paths and achieve professional growth, ultimately enhancing their employability and success in the workforce. Students will each be assigned a position with one of our apprenticeship programme partners. Each student will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance, support and feedback throughout the entire journey to help them navigate challenges, set goals and maximise their learning and growth.
We are committed to ensuring that the students’ work-based learning experiences align with their academic studies to enhance their understanding of course material and facilitate the transfer of knowledge between the classroom and the workplace.
One programme,
three paths
The pre-tertiary full-time degree pathway offers students specialisation in three areas: Business Management, Computer Science, and Accounting and Finance. The programme also offers students an insight into core competencies necessary for success at work, such as public speaking, critical thinking and entrepreneurship.
MQF 4
Advanced Diploma in Business Management
120 ECTS
This programme covers various subjects essential to business, such as marketing, accounting, human resource management and operations. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful business career.

This programme covers a range of modules essential for a comprehensive understanding of computer science, such as programming fundamentals, database concepts and design, website design and network concepts.

This programme covers a range of modules crucial for a comprehensive understanding of finance, such as financial accounting principles, investment analysis, managerial finance, and financial markets and institutions.

A programme designed with the student in mind
Holistic Approach
Students benefit from a more holistic preparation in setting themselves up for future success by being exposed to relevant and topical academic inputs in parallel to a structured, engaging real-world work environment.
Degree Pathway
Completing this programme will provide students with the necessary foundation to pursue an MQF Level 5 Diploma in Business Management, Accounting and Finance or Computer Science, ultimately leading to a BSc in the chosen area.
Blended Learning
By integrating classroom knowledge with real-world application, this programme equips students with a well-rounded skillset and a head start in their chosen field, ultimately enhancing their employability and success in the workforce.
Apprenticeship Programme
Students will be onboarded to the CMBS apprenticeship programme which runs alongside the academic programme, allowing students to be immersed in a real-life work context from the second term of their studies.
One-on-one Mentorship
Each student will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance, support and feedback throughout the entire journey to help them navigate challenges, set goals and maximise their learning and growth.
Varied Assessments
We believe in catering for different learners. Varied assessments allow our students to showcase their knowledge and skills in ways that best suit them, giving everyone a fair shot.
Student Stipend
Post-secondary students who study with us are also entitled to a stipend, which will be paid periodically in backdated four-weekly payments to cover any study-related expenses.
Funding Opportunities
It’s not just the student that benefits with CMBS! Parents can also get up to 70% of their child’s course fee back via the Get Qualified Scheme.
