The MQF Level 5 Award in Leadership and Management introduces learners to become familiar with the primary similarities and distinctions between leadership and management. Additionally, learners will be introduced to the key theories that govern both concepts and encouraged to engage in critical thinking to determine which approaches are best suited for various organisational activities, departments, and objectives.
Learners will learn how to:
- Monitor own strengths and weaknesses to enhance personal performance.
- Support and mentor all team members effectively.
- Collaborate with others and lead by example.
- Describe the role of the leader in the organisations.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external at the workplace.
- Support and mentor all team members effectively.
- Apply leadership styles depending on the one that fits most in an organisation and its objectives.

This qualification is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. MFHEA deems this Award in Leadership and Management to be at Level 5 in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the programme, candidates must hold any one of the following requirements:
- Diploma pegged at MQF Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant field
- Matriculation certificate with at least 2 A-levels and 3 Intermediates
- Matsec certificates with 4 passes at Grade 5 or better
- Relevant work experience
Non-native English speakers must also have an English qualification such as CEFR or IELTS 5.5.

Mode of Assessment
The Award in Leadership and Management is assessed through the use of a presentation and an assignment.

This course is intended for those who are aged 21+, current or potential managers, as well as those that aspire to become leaders and managers.
