The Award in Performance Management enables learners to grasp the fundamental concepts of performance management along with its key practices and equips them with a range of tools that can be applied in the day-to-day operations of an organisation for effective performance management.
Learners will learn how to:
- Assess and analyse the principles of organisational performance management.
- Critically evaluate and examine Armstrong’s Performance Management Cycle.
- Demonstrate a critical understanding of tools such as the Balanced Scorecard and Analytic Hierarchy Process.
- Identify and critically reflect on the various phases for implementing and evaluating organizational and departmental performance.
- Reflect on concepts of performance planning phase.

This qualification is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. MFHEA deems this award to be at Level 5 in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the programme, candidates must hold any one of the following requirements:
- Diploma pegged at MQF Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant field
- Matriculation certificate with at least 2 A-levels and 3 Intermediates
- Matsec certificates with 4 passes at Grade 5 or better
- Relevant work experience
Non-native English speakers must also have an English qualification such as CEFR or IELTS 5.5.

Mode of Assessment
The Award in Performance Management shall be assessed through a case study.
