This Award in Training and Development (Human Resource Management) focuses on providing learners with the essential skills and knowledge required to actively engage in human resource development practices. Through this award, learners will gain insight into various strategies and techniques aimed at enhancing employee performance and fostering a motivating work environment.
Learners will learn how to:
- Examine and evaluate the importance and relevance of human resource development in organisations.
- Critically analyse the need for effective training of the workforce and the potential benefits for organisational performance.
- Critically examine the need to align the human resource development strategy with the overall long-term goals and objectives of the organisation.
- Analyse and assess the benefits of effective human resource development to upskill and motivate staff.
- Examine and evaluate the use of technology within the field of training and development.
- Examine and evaluate the need for effective communication within the field of human resource development.

This qualification is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. MFHEA deems this award to be at Level 5 in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the programme, candidates must hold any one of the following requirements:
- Diploma pegged at MQF Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant field
- Matriculation certificate with at least 2 A-levels and 3 Intermediates
- Matsec certificates with 4 passes at Grade 5 or better
- Relevant work experience
Non-native English speakers must also have an English qualification such as CEFR or IELTS 5.5.

Mode of Assessment
The Award in Training and Development shall be assessed through the use of an assignment.
