The BSc in Business Management (Top-Up) is the final third year of the Business Management Degree and is made specifically for those learners who have prior experience in business management and/or a relevant education. Gain insight into current leadership and management practices and expand your knowledge of how effective managers and great leaders think, work, lead and inspire within organisations. Upon completion of the programme, students will also earn two globally recognised qualifications from Central Mediterranean Business School (CMBS) and Coventry University.
Learners will learn how to:
- Forecast HR needs with the HR department
- Manage and motivate employees using strategic HR practices
- Ensure compliance with recruitment and employment laws
- Implement performance management and reward systems
- Advocate for effective recruitment procedures and participate in the recruitment process
- Design and implement information systems for productivity, efficiency, and compliance
- Monitor and evaluate information systems for optimal performance
- Ensure information security following organisational procedures
- Collaborate with financial professionals on budgeting, forecasting, and risk management
- Interpret financial data to improve organisational performance
- Comply with financial regulations and monitor industry trends
- Conduct ethical and effective data gathering aligned with research methods
- Conduct thorough literature reviews for research proposals and projects
- Analyse data using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Develop and write effective research proposals
Awarding Body
This qualification is awarded by Central Mediterranean Business School (CMBS) and validated by Coventry University.
Accrediting Body
This qualification is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. MFHEA deems this BSc to be at Level 6 in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the programme, candidates must hold either: A Higher Diploma OR a Foundation Degree at MQF Level 5Â
Non-Native English Speakers should be in possession of suitable English qualifications such as IELTS 5.5 or CEFR, or equivalent.
Mode of Assessment
The course shall be assessed through the use of an assignment based on the theoretical concepts presented during the lectures and ways of implementing said concepts and theories. These assessments will include group assignments, group presentations, individual assignments and individual presentations.

The BSc in Business Management (Top-up) is intended for those who are aged 21+ and aspire to work or are already working as team leaders or managers.

This module will allow learners to understand the process involved in effective recruitment management as part of overall human resource management.
This module has been designed to equip learners with an idea to why and how information is managed and is then used then used for to facilitate effective decision-making.
This module aims at equipping learners with the necessary skills, knowledge and competence to use key financial documents, figures and structures. It will also allow learners to understand the role of effective financial management when it comes to the overall success of a business. To this end, managers need to be able to understand basic financial techniques to effectively manage and partake in organisational planning.
This module equips learners with the required skills, knowledge, and competences to be able to effectively prepare a research proposal and eventually a research project. It will allow them to learn in-depth the main methodologies implemented in data gathering, methods of analysing data, turning collected data into information and the best ways to present such findings.
This module allows learners to practice the knowledge and theories that they have acquired in the module ‘Research Methods’. Learners are expected to carry out an effective research project, making use of effective critical thinking, time management skills, problem solving and effective decision making together with the appropriate and most relevant research methodologies. This module is the last step towards the learners obtaining their bachelor’s degree in Business and Management.
