The MQF Level 5 Award in Operations Management aims to help learners gain an understanding of the key areas of operations management. Learners will gain a solid understanding of how businesses operate, what the key levers to sustainable and successful performance are, and how they can be applied, controlled and monitored.
Learners will learn how to:
- Manage operational activities in the company
- Evaluate processes and procedures
- Provide effective solutions to business problems
- Effectively solve business problems
- Present business reports.
Awarding Body
This qualification is awarded by Central Mediterranean Business School (CMBS).
Accrediting Body
This qualification is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. MFHEA deems this Award in Operations Management to be at Level 5 in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the programme, candidates must hold any one of the following requirements:
- Diploma pegged at MQF Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant field
- Matriculation certificate with at least 2 A-levels and 3 Intermediates
- Matsec certificates with 4 passes at Grade 5 or better
- Relevant work experience
Non-native English speakers must also have an English qualification such as CEFR or IELTS 5.5.

Mode of Assessment
The Award in Operations Management is assessed through an examination.

The Award in Operations Management is intended for those who are aged 21+ and already have active roles in the management sector or are aspiring to work in the management sector.
