The Award in Educational Leadership course aims to help participants understand and critique theories and practices of educational leadership and management by considering current research and professional experience. The integration of theory and practice is central to this course.
At the end of the Award in Educational Leadership, learners will be equipped to:Â
- Divulge the theory and practice of leadership and management with specific reference to the field of education;Â
- Explore the purpose(s) of education and schooling as well as well as the principles that underpin educational practice;Â
- Perceive the differences between leadership and management both in theory and practice;Â
- Integrate strategic planning, management systems and the leadership and management of change in educational practice;Â

Entry Requirements
Applicants should normally hold a Bachelor’s Degree and have 2 years of related professional experience . Excellent command of written English is required.

A mixed-method assessment approach will be utilised for the Award in Educational Leadership.
