Table of Contents
The Award in Principles of Transport Modelling equips learners with the knowledge to evaluate and apply transport modelling techniques. Learners will explore the purpose and role of different models, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and select the most suitable techniques for specific transportation problems. Learners will also gain the ability to analyse real-world transportation issues with the use of different modelling packages.
Learners will learn how to:
- Collaborate with others in a transport modelling project
- Be responsible for taking decisions related to transport modelling and planning
- Carry out research as well as collect, analyse and interpret data collected through various data collection methods
- Monitor and mitigate risks that might arise during transport modelling processes
- Create models using reliable and related transport modelling techniques

This qualification is accredited by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. MFHEA deems the Award in Principles of Transport Modelling to be at Level 7 in the Malta Qualifications Framework and the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree and have 2 years of relevant work experience. Excellent command of written English is required.

Mode of Assessment
Award in Principles of Transport Modelling will be assessed through a case-study and a presentation.
