Last Thursday, 19 July 2018, EY officially launched EY360, an ACCA Accelerated Work Study Programme developed by CMBS.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1529998910145{padding-bottom: 4px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]The two-year programme, the only one of its kind locally, will offer students the opportunity to kick-start and fast-track their journey towards becoming chartered certified finance professionals, merging theory and practice to provide students with an intensive, academically demanding and applied programme that will enable them to develop purposefully and refine their own comprehensive ‘toolbox’ of accounting and finance techniques. At the end of the programme, students will become ACCA qualified and secure full-time employment with EY.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1529999027788{padding-bottom: 4px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]During the EY360 launch, Abdul Goffar, ACCA’s head of Western Europe, said: “We’re delighted to be working with EY and CMBS on this really innovative programme. It will offer students a dynamic and accelerated route through to ACCA membership, giving them the vital and much in-demand financial and strategic skills a modern-day employer such as EY needs.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Ronald Attard, EY Malta’s Country Managing Partner, highlighted that EY is “very proud of this development programme, which will provide ongoing support to help grow students’ strengths, maximise their opportunities, and have a lasting impact.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]“We want to develop fully-fledged accountants. Our approach is to support the students long term through their educational journey instead of offering singular modules. We exist for the industry and it is important that in all the delivery of our programmes we are in touch with industry. By offering our students flexibility and work exposure, and by making sure that our lecturers are all leaders within their fields we live up to this standard.” – Katrina Grech, Director of Operations, Business Leaders Malta.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The EY cohort will commence in September at EY’s Connect Centre. Other cohorts with other partnering accounting firms will follow suit in October.
