Chris is an economist by profession with over 20 years of professional experience, having occupied positions both within the public sector and in the private industry.
He currently leads the Revenue Optimisation and Economics Department of Genesis Global Limited, a subsidiary of Meydan Group (Australia). Prior joining Genesis, Chris occupied the role of Head Economic Advisory and Market Intelligence with Deloitte Malta.
Chris is a former Central Bank Senior Economist, with extensive experience in policy making, namely in undertaking macroeconomic studies, compiling of financial stability frameworks, analysing money and banking statistics, managing surveys and developing real, monetary, and public finance frameworks, both for local consumption and in fulfilling respective European Commission’s and European Central Banks’s regulations. Chris has represented the Central Bank on a number of ECB working groups and committees.
Earlier in his career, Chris has been a freelance consultant at MISCO Consulting Ltd, Impetus Europe Consulting Ltd and Combined Maritime Ltd. He facilitated lectures in economics at the European Documentation and Research Centre of the University of Malta and project management at MCAST.
His area of specialisation is to undertake Macroeconomic and Microeconomic Analysis, Financial and Numerical Analysis, Business Plans, Feasibility Studies, Cost Benefit Analysis, Risk Profiles and Market Intelligence. He has hands-on experience in project management techniques and to implement strategy action plans.
